In 1998 My wife and I bought an abandoned Farm in the Fingerlakes region of NY to raise our family on. Years of overfarming left the fields in need of rejuvenation but a 100 acre woods consisting of mainly mature sugar maple trees was in prime condition. In 2004 Maplewood was founded as a Christmas tree farm. The trees were only the size of a pinky finger when they were planted.. As they grew, we expanded into organic vegetables, poultry, pigs, and maple. We proudly offer pastured pork and maple products to the public. We use nature centric and sustainable practices through out our farm operation with the plan of leaving it better for the next generation. Hopefully the Christmas trees will be ready by then.
